About Me

My one-of-a-kind sculptures explore the ever-changing struggle between humanity and the environment; they are a part of Bill Battaglia Creations. My work features a unique blend of new and repurposed materials, including glass, copper, brass, and wood, created using intuitive, hands-on techniques like molten copper splash and glass casting. Mounted on found objects, the ethereal and otherworldly aspects of each sculpture are brought to light by their individual investigations.

Drawing on my background in visual design and glass casting, I use each sculpture as a platform to experiment with new ideas and make a statement. The history and character of materials like glass, copper, or wood that I select for my projects often lead me to unexpected applications for these materials. Each sculpture relies on a carefully designed and performed lighting system that enhances its visual impact and invites viewers to view commonplace materials through new eyes.

By experimenting with new materials and techniques, I am always testing the limits of what my profession can provide. Each sculpture is uniquely handmade and painstakingly crafted due to my rigorous monthly production restriction. My artwork has been shown at numerous events and galleries in Arizona, Illinois, Colorado, California, and Pennsylvania; it is now on exhibit at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona and Pavilion Gallery in Scottsdale.

Finding new ways to network with museums, galleries, and individuals that collect interesting, original art is something I am constantly trying to do. Come with me if you are passionate about art that alters people’s viewpoints and their perceptions of space.

Basically, providing art that moves people and strikes a chord with them on a more profound level while also altering their surroundings and their views of it.
